Assembly Options

The RP2xxx Stamp Carrier XL allows for multiple ways of mounting the Stamp boards. This page lists some of the options to showcase the flexibility of the Carrier.

FlexyPins

This is the most flexible option as it doesn’t require any modifications to the Stamp board. The FlexyPin springs make it easy to insert and remove the Stamp. Note that once you solder the FlexyPins, you are comitting to the Stamp size, if you solder the connectors for the Standard Stamp size, you cannot use them with the XL size.

2mm-pitch Headers

The big benefit of using pin headers with the Carrier is that not only you’re not limited to one Stamp size, but you can also easily plug in and remove the Stamps and move them between the Carrier and your projects.

Direct soldering

If you’re not afraid of comittment, you can always simply solder down the Stamp to the Carrier.
